OpalDavid Roback of the Rain Parade and Kendra Smith of the Dream Syndicate had planned to cooperate for a long time. The first known collaboration was in the fine one record project Rainy Day, together with the cream of the Paisley Undergound. Their band should be called Clay Allison, but it never turned out to be alive. Later the work turned to be Opal, also involved was Green On Red drummer Keith Mitchell. Unfortunately Opal did not last long, but was followed by Kendra Smith rare solo projects and by Mazzy Star, where David Roback continued together with new singer Hope Sandoval without changing his style too much.Discography |
